Crafted from 38-year-old vines rooted in powdery Goldridge series soil, the 2015 is a touch sexier than its siblings. This vintage shows the electric vibrancy and focused energy of a fresh and flirty white. In the glass, the light golden hue glistens with a sharp straw-colored edge. The nose is showy – overflowing with aromas of pear, marshmallow, crème brûlée, and delicate fruit cocktail. The 25% new French oak cradles the wine, elicits warm aromas of toasty vanillin, and adds balance to the middle palate. Acidity sews through for a pleasantly stimulating mouthfeel. A surge of apple and fresh tropical fruit flavors hold steady for a gorgeous, lengthy finish. Properly cellared, this wine will drink well through 2021 and beyond.
