Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
This wine is aromatically bold and complex, deep purple in color and rich in texture. With this wine, patience is a virtue. Give it time and you will be treated to layers of aromas and flavors that unfold before you. A bouquet of blackberries, cassis, spice and white pepper overflow the glass, followed by hints of vanilla brought out by the barrel aging. The mouthfeel is round and soft with dark chocolate, bacon, and toasted oak attributes complementing the dark fruit. The lengthy finish which highlights acidity and velvety tannins is the perfect finale for this complex wine.
Vineyard Notes
There were early rains, a mild spring and some heatwaves in September. This was followed by cooler weather, bringing back a bit of normalcy to the growing season. At our Destin Vineyard, the Estate Syrah flourished, and we were once again, blessed with a bountiful and beautiful crop.

in nearly every landscape upon which is planted. Consisting of Clones #877 and #4, our Destin
Syrah shows classic varietal rusticity and big red fruit, power, restrain, and great length. A kiss
of 60% new French oak for 22 months is just perfect to balance and cradle the plethora of

Our Estate Syrah is full-bodied and dark with bold and uncompromising fruity and peppery
flavors. This makes it the ideal pairing for rich meats and grilled foods of all kinds. For
something simple enjoy it with your favorite burger recipe. For more adventurous pairings Duck
with Plum Sauce or grilled Portabella Mushrooms will be sure to please your palate.
