2012 Bacigalupi Pinot Noir
Bacigalupi Vineyard, Russian River Valley
TASTING NOTES
Our 2012 Bacigalupi Pinot Noir offers a complex array of fresh red fruit that lifts with a lively and explosive effect. There are notes of bright raspberry, ripe strawberry basket and heady oak vanillin background. Native fermentation gives this wine a touch of edgy spices also so welcome in fine Pinot. The palate transitions very nicely with more bright red fruit, balanced acidity and a rich, baby fat mouthfeel that pads the middle and carries the finish. The tannins are very supple and round, making this an incredibly approachable Pinot Noir from release that will drink well if cellared correctly until 2022 and beyond.

“The first Pinot Noir release from this producer, this is a velvety-smooth, exotic and charming wine, light on the palate despite a concentration of ripe, rich fruit. Kirsch, cherry, raspberry and cinnamon combine to make the wine invitingly lush and plush.” - Virginie Boone
