The 2013 Syrah is ripe, round and powerful. With an intense black veil, this wine begins with a nose of blackberry, dried currant and hints of 60% new tight-grain French oak spices. Espresso and chocolate nuances persist in the underlay of the rich, coating mouthfeel of sweet black cherry, blackberry preserves and sturdy tannins. The mouthfeel is boastful and will develop nicely if cellared correctly. This age-worthy Syrah will be enjoyed through 2026 and beyond. PRODUCTION: 131 CASES.
