2014 Destin Estate Syrah
Destin Vineyard, Oak Knoll District, Napa Valley
The 2014 Estate Syrah is crimson-purple in hue with a deep black center. The nose begins with blackberry preserves, smoky bacon, dark roast coffee, and a tinge of violet. 60% new tight grain Francois Ferres French oak scents it further with clove, vanillin, and cooking spices. With each sip, multiple flavors flood the mouth. Espresso and chocolate nuances persist atop the foundation which is a rich, permeating mouthfeel of sweet black cherry, blackberry preserves, and sturdy tannins. Enjoy this age-worthy Syrah through 2026 and beyond.
