Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Balance is the cornerstone of Eleven Eleven, and it is on full display with our 2020 Dutton Ranch Chardonnay. This complex wine hails from Russian River Valley with a style of both a traditional White Burgundy and a classic California Chardonnay. With a golden straw appearance, the bouquet is exuberant with aromas of papaya, creme brûlée, pear, and honey. On the palate, you are greeted with rich tropical flavors of stone fruit, melon, pineapple, and citrus. This, of course, is paired with a smooth hint of creamy oak and minerality for an explosion of flavors followed by a long, lingering finish.
Vineyard Notes
The Dutton Ranch Mill Station Vineyard boasts 45-year-old dry farmed vines. The cooler climate here slows ripening and supports higher natural acidity.
Food Pairing Notes
We are always excited about the diversity of food that pairs well with our Chardonnay. Enjoy this wine with your favorite white fish and butter-based sauce. For a vegetarian option try Maitake mushrooms with a lemon tahini sauce. It will also be the perfect pairing for ravioli with a lemon cream sauce or chicken wings with a teriyaki glaze, sesame seeds and spicy mayo.
